The Africa Alliance of YMCAs (AAYMCA) is taking bold steps to empower youth through game-based learning and ethnographic research as part of the ongoing Africa Renaissance Hub (ARH) initiative. To bring this vision to life, AAYMCA is inviting expert facilitators and organizations to lead two transformative workshops designed to equip young leaders and YMCA staff with cutting-edge skills in game creation and community-driven research.
Opportunity 1: Game Creation & Design Thinking Workshop
Set to take place in Nairobi, this one-day intensive training will immerse participants in the world of game design methodologies, prototyping, and design thinking principles. The selected facilitator will guide youth through the game development process, ensuring that their creations align with key themes such as youth justice, climate action, and economic empowerment.

Opportunity 2: Ethnographic Research Workshop
AAYMCA is also seeking a facilitator for an in-depth 4-5 day ethnographic research workshop in Mombasa, April 2025. This training will equip participants with qualitative research skills, storytelling techniques, and community-based research methods to inform the development of impactful game content.
