AFANOU Afi Better, an apprentice hairdresser in Agbokomé and a beneficiary of YMCA Togo’s Youth Justice project shares her journey in the project.

“My name is AFANOU Afi Better and I live in Tabligbo, I am an apprentice hairdresser in Agbokomé and a beneficiary of YMCA-Togo. I got to know YMCA-Togo in 2019. They helped sign me in to the apprenticeship, paid my the entrance fees to the workshop and sowed me the work clothes. The project leader visits us regularly, advises us and encourages us in our learning. They paid for my Installation Kit. I started learning in 2019 and I will finish this year 2022.

I want to say thanks to YMCA-Togo, may God bless and strengthen them. May God return to them a hundredfold all their good. Without their help, today I will not be able to learn any job, I would be at home doing nothing. By meeting them, my life has changed, I am learning a job that will be very profitable to me in the future.”
