The Africa Alliance of YMCAs (AAYMCA) continues to transform lives through education, mentorship, and leadership development. As part of the AAYMCA Scholarship Project, a monitoring visit was conducted in Zambia from January 30 to February 11, 2025. Led by AAYMCA’s Education Officer, Emmanuel, the session aimed to assess the progress of scholarship beneficiaries, address challenges, and explore further opportunities for academic and personal growth.

Strengthening Education and Community Impact

The session provided scholars with a platform to reflect on their academic journeys and share how the scholarship has influenced their education and community involvement. Through meaningful discussions, the impact of the program was evident—not only in enhancing academic excellence but also in fostering leadership and social responsibility among young scholars.

Testimonials: Scholars Making a Difference

Several scholarship recipients, including Patson Botha, Abigail Chengo, and Rosa Chaponge, shared their inspiring experiences. They highlighted how the scholarship has provided them with the necessary support to overcome challenges and seize new opportunities for both academic and personal development. Their journeys reflect the program’s commitment to equipping young people with the tools to succeed and make a lasting impact in their communities.
