Career: My first job right out of university was as a Web and Graphics designer initially in self-employment but later with a startup in Nairobi. After that, I moved into public service working for the Government of Kenya as a District Officer in Mandera East District in the North Eastern part of the county at the border between Kenya, Ethiopia and Somalia. I subsequently moved to Mombasa County to work for a Child and Youth Rights institution as an Advocacy and Administrative officer where I was in charge of several initiatives, including one on inclusion of street connected youth within decision making processes. It is after this engagement that I moved to the AAYMCA as an Advocacy Officer and later as a Programmes Executive.
